Elephant Emporium founds by Ms. Lek Chailert, founder of Save Elephant Foundation. SEF began a program to help mahouts and their Elephants since March 2020. It’s not only assisting with Elephant foods, but we also guide them to develop their skills, anticipating a return to normalcy. We paid for experts to train mahouts and their families to learn a variety of jobs, especially to make goods, products and things to sell online; we also trained them to use an internet platform to improve their business. We believe that education and diversified skill development are the best way to sustain through hard times and change for better future living.

It not just only to help about a financial for the mahout’s family but also to give them the opportunities of sustainable job for being free from tourist industry.
After training so many mahouts, and members of their families in many regions, it is clear that they have talent. Here are some products ready for you: bracelets, coffee, bag painted, handbags etc.
All of our products have many stories behind because it comes from many different Mahout’s families. They made it by intentionally and we do our best for supporting their works because we want to see they have a better life and we want the most that many elephants will be better treated. While we teach them to make a product, we educate them about the facts of taking care of an elephant. We believe strongly that we can live with the gentle animals with love and care, no need hooks or chains to force them in control. We try to make them understand how to stay with elephants peacefully.
